Wigan are a rugby League town, and Dave Whelan is a total Idiot- I do remember this story from a few years ago

 

The Farce of Whealan is that he believed it Credible to offer a minutes silence before a Wigan football game in honour of Thatcher. Has a man ever been so out of touch with the community he allegedly represents, as he was with the suggestion Wigan would play Union

If rugby union continues to evolve on the field then at some point its only natural that clubs like wigan and leeds should look to rejoining the mother code
