RIP Keith.

Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little.

Sorry, but the name doesn't ring any bells with me as regards the 1960s. Maybe he turned out for the Lions when in his 30s during the '70s.

Steve Wild, can you comment please?

I can confirm that Keith definitely never played a first team game. My records for the "A" team are not 100% complete but I can't see any record of him playing for the reserves in the 60s either. However, we did have an "A" teamer playing at hooker during seasons 58/9 and 59/60 named Wolstencroft. He would have been a young lad of 18 or 19 if this is the same chap.

Whilst your going through your history books Steve, when was the last time we won at the Mount in the League?

Last time I saw the Lions win at Mount Pleasant was in the Challenge Cup back in 1967. They won 0-22 after going in at the half time break 0-5 up. Later they went out of the competition in the 3rd round to Leeds 17-15 at Headingley.

:D   :O
