Rumors going round that the Halifax N-rail cup game has been picked by Premier to be shown on Thursday 16 May,would be good to get some confirmation from the club as soon as possible

Don't they only televise cup matches when they expect a shock result?

Thanks Frank.

Formal notification by the club via this forum, the web site or Twitter is notable by its absence.

Confirmed guys I've had to factor the date change into my events list as I have the beer festival on the same day. KO 7.30pm

BTW it was only confirmed at around 4pm this afternoon.

We can officially confirm that the game against Halifax will take place at 7.30pm on Thursday 16th May. As Roger said, although Premier Sports had indicated this as being the televised game, it wasn't formally agreed until this afternoon, The two clubs have agreed that standard league prices for adults and concessions will apply to this game although children under the age of 16 will be admitted free. The intention is for this free entry to apply to the South Stand only but we are looking into this applying to Main Stand entry as well since we recognise some may come as a family.

Out of interest who cant attend thursday nights game? bet we have a poor support on thursday night with it a cup game and season tickets not counting on top of people being skint!. IMO we should allow our season ticket holders in for a tenner to try boost the gate and had an incentive for people to turn up. Reckon the crowd will be embarrasing, especially if we lose again sunday

My prediction 800.. if that!

Are season tickets valid for this game. The conditions of issue in the back of the season ticket, item 2, indicates that they are.

I think what initially looked like a reasonably good draw financially has been kiboshed some what by moving the fixture to the Thursday night in front of the cameras. Hope I'm wrong... but we won't be attending as a family now, like we would have on the sunday afternoon.

Season tickets don't include cup games so no surprise there. We have to give Halifax half the gate.

Its a good draw, bit of exposure on TV is good for the club and sure the players will be looking forward to it as some of them won't have played in a televised game before. And Thursday night gives us a slightly better chance.

It could have been some Cumbrian side away, so it could have been a lot worse.
