Apparently I 'don't have permission to view that'. Typical union censorship.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

This is very exciting and should be on the main forum IMO.

I'm sure I'm not the only person whose French is limited or non-existent, so a translation would be most welcome.

The cover says, the dirty story,
How during the occupation French rl was got rid of by the vichy government and the rugby union benefited greatly,

Can't wait to buy it tomorrow, usually never buy the paper as league is never in it!

Translation of the text at the bottom of the cover:

The Dirty History

How Rugby League was banned in France by the Vichy Government during the Nazi Occupation and how RU gained advantage from it.

I meant a translation of the article, unless an English version is on that website. I haven't had time to check that.

I don't think the RU forum is the correct forum, to be honest.

The title of the article is quite blunt. Historically, these threads have always gone in this forum and I'm not really minded to change that for this one.

That said, if anyone disagrees, please ask John.

Bigger in France you mean. Do you get many people asking you why Rugby Union is bigger in France?
