can we use the twitter draw as an alternative?

According to George Riley on Twitter the draw is likely to be towards the back end of next week.  He didn't mention a location.  After the mess up with the 5 Live effort last time I would imagine the BBC will want to choose everything carefully.

yes, it's not today any more

First they said

It's tomorrow

then they retracted and said

We'll be able to confirm date tomorrow - apologies for the confusion

This is farcical, we know when the games are to be played in advance, so surely the day after the games a draw can be made.

So we couldn't organise a draw in a brewery sponsored competition?

It's almost poetic.

Is it just me who isn't that fussed the Cup draw isn't the day after this time? There's 9 weeks until the quarter finals, I don't see the need to rush it to be honest. Obviously it can't be left too late but it isn't a two or three week turn around this time. (Even though I thought the quarter final should be swapped with the International weekend in June) Seems to me another infantile reason to tweet "farce", "joke" and "disgrace".

They should get Steve Coogan to host it, while reprising his most famous character Alan Partridge. Then it'd be indistinguishable from the last draw.

I know it was probably said in jest but The One Show would be a great place to have the draw.  It's a primetime show, where celebs and actors etc go on and sell their wares, why not us?

No problem with it being not the day after. It doesn't seem right to not have a pre-arranged time and day for the draw though. These things should be made well in advance. It doesn't portray an image of an organised sport. And the last thing the RFL need is to give an excuse for people to have a go.

errr.........is it scaramanga?

Not at all said in jest, said with enthusiasm because I am at the forefront of ideas, a trend-setter, an idol.

Half this board wants RL to be back in the 70's; so live in moment like a free spirit maaaan. Just do the draw when the moment feels right. Peace out.
