I might be googling the wrong chap, but his name seems linked with "troubled" in a fair few news search results...

Not that are ready, no. We've always had this problem and it being addressed. We've got some young players under 17 that could be stars in a few years from what I've heard, but not quite ready for a few years.

I don't understand people's obsession with chucking in youngsters before they're ready and pretending it's some kind of development tool. It's not.

Hull have 2 very good young halves that the club are nurturing and hoping to bring through the ranks together - a bit like Horne & Cooke.

From what I've heard they are both very exciting and destined for a long bright future - both are already signed but unable to take a fee due to their age (under 16's)

;)

They did have Danny Nicklas that might have made it, but he couldn't keep his trap shut.

To be fair I ask the same question of my own club too in their quest for another halfback

And I get slightly frustrated that they don't get a chance sooner

That said the giants gave Kruise Leeming a run out, he didn't look out of place and he's 17

only played a handful of NRL games though and is being frozen out of the Wests team for a reason, even though they're halfback combo is seriously misfiring. Hope he turns his career around at Hull though.

Saints held talks with Miller & his agent as well as with Walsh and then asked Daniel Anderson for his opinion & recommendation on both. He apparently told Saints to sign Walsh & stay away from Miller as he was too unpredictable on & off the field.

I guess only time will tell whether the lad can turn himself around and be a real star for Hull as he certainly has promise & talent.

It's a shame a big club in England is having to look to a 20 year old 7 who can't even break in properly at Wests. They're garbage this year and have been crying out for a 7 for 3/4 years.

Not a good signing.

Jacob Miller must be the foreign exchange student.

Sounds like your Josh had a cracking game against the Broncos, going by the match report in last Friday's programme.

Yes he did mate, hopefully we now seemed to have turned a corner with the youth set up the club have put alot of hardwork into the new youth academy its a brilliant set up at Bishop Burton but it will take at least another couple of years before we really see the benefits I think.
