As he did not turn out for Wire tonight then Mozza is a dead cert for Sunday. Should be worth the entrance money!

Ben Harrison didn't play either.

Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little.

I think you're getting paranoid now mark.    ;)

I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimension, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave Hadfield - Independent 25th August 1996.

The MEN reported it as a Championship fixture. Excellent reporting, as usual.

How sad, it takes so long for "Swinton" to decide Their Team. Jesus Christ! Just call it a day and let people get on with their lives!

How about, "Salford fan who thinks Swinton is Warrington's "A" team uses Lions' game for training session."

Slightly differently, the BBC Red Button service calls it the Championship Cup

. That just about sums up how it is! How sad for a club that has achieved so much in the game and has such a glorious history.

I apologize for my last post. I was feeling emotional after a few beers last night. I actually have no axe to grind with the Swinton club and I have many friends who follow the club. I spent many happy Sunday afternoons at Station road. This will almost certainly be my last season of watching Rugby League. After 40 years the game I loved has gone. It has been ruined by the RFL and the Super Greed clubs. I like to travel and visit new places. In that respect Rugby Union is starting to appeal to me now. Best wishes to Swinton RLFC, after today of course. I hope you get your new ground but nobody is going to help you. You are not one of the "IN" clubs.

They can never take our history away from us.
Playing Adrian Morley on Sunday won't change anything we've achieved.
I'll be glad when the season is over

Ah yes, the classic Championship Cup. It's more accurate than the Championship, but I doubt the sponsors would be happy.
