Nowhere near, most of the Sharlo side don't play in the summer.

So are Sharlston really Fev Lions?

Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.

Only a handful for the purposes of NCL rules.

Historically, quite a few have merged with junior clubs during their history.

Quite a few sides had no juniors when they entered the NCL too.

Thank you Dean, I suppose it's how far back one cares to look back, like you say the mergers where that long a go that younger people may not know this fact.

Well I know a quit a few including our lad who went on to play semi pro and never got a penny all the time they where at Sharlston so until you come up with substantial evidence to back up your claim I would be careful  are you a Stanley Rangers committee man by any chance.

Careful of wot,it's been common knowledge for some time so called expenses were paid to certain players, doesn't help when some players have let it slip,it happens at a few clubs in pennine and ncl ,nobody gives a ######,if that's how they want to win competitions that's up to them,

I know it's true and I also know Woody was on a real deal when he was player coach, in fact the deal was that good that semi-Pro clubs couldn't get within 50% of what he was finding in his socks (Source Lin Pac Ltd)

Find out if you don't know where Woody works, Find out who at that time was the engineer in charge of the factory and then find out which club the engineer is the secretary of, In 2005 or 06, I was sat in the stand at Post Office Rd watching a CMS Final which Sharlston was playing in, sat directly behind me was Mr Lingard and friends, they where talking about payments and poaching players from the team they where playing.

It's a known fact that boot money has been paid there for years, teams accept it so why the worry, if truth is known we would all like a sugar daddy, I've also become good mates with Gareth Davies uncle over the years which started when he was involved with Crofton (Guess what we've talked about over the years and the last time we talked was at a Walton game during the summer)

Here say speculation whats lin pac got to do with sharlston ?

Very true Jim, it would be daft for anyone to deny the obvious..

Several years ago, Cutsyke lost a couple of players there, one straight after paying for him to go onto a BARLA tour. . .

They both said they were getting cash and i believe them.

You accept it and move on.

I've heard that they have paid a few lads to go there after they have dipped their toe into the pro game and that's come from Upton of all teams who have lost a couple of players to them over the years.

Thatto Heath merged with St.Helens Crusaders in 1999 and were accepted into the NCL for the 2000/01 season

SINGING MY MUM'S A .......

Views are my own and not necessarily those of Thatto Heath Crusaders!!
