Hunslet website states that we are boosted by the return of 5 key men - but no mention of Jimmy Watson.  Surely this must be an oversight?  Is he not classed as a key man, or not in the squad this week?

Either way he needs to play in this game as he is absolutely instrumental in this team.

is this the car park on the right before the stadium ?

By the sounds of the statement, it applies to both that one and the one in front of the stadium itself.

Yes, but there is parking 200 yards past that car park at the equestrian center, plus you can park on Middleton Grove.

To be honest, it makes me feel like not going, or at least, not look forward to it. The council are just showing their muscle to keep us in our place. We surely have as much right or even more so to park there as anyone!

Reading the council statement, it seems like the rugby community are not wanted. Giving preferential treatment to different types of Leeds council tax payers.
hunslet were there using the facilities long before anything else was developed. I remember the days when both the Phoenix bar and council bar were packed, with the rugby community pumping thousands of pounds into the council coffers! now the council have established other facilities building on top of the original car parks. They have other income coming in they treat us 2nd rate.

One big red herring! I parked up in the main car park no problem at around 6.55 ...

Is this  allowance for parking normal or are Rugby supporters not wanted in Hunslet. Why did you allow the council to take away your part ownership of Elland Road if you are not prime tenants at the South Leeds Stadium? Also why build more facilities than the venue can accommodate?

Our part ownership of Elland Road had about 10 years to run, after that we would have been kicked out, so to keep the club going we had to do something.

Leeds Utd when it suited them, did not want us playing on their sacred turf, saying we damaged it, although at the time the pitch was worse round the goalmouth area, due to the football,( and they did win the then first division  with us playing on their sacred turf) so this put the council under pressure to remove us. They came up with building the South Leeds stadium for basically us at first. Different councils get elected every few years and want to change things, maybe it's a good thing for us in so much as the more facilities going up the better , as this helps in not closing down the South Leeds Stadium to sell the land off. Or else we might be back playing at Batley.
