Absolutely beautiful morning here in Sale, not a cloud in the sky.

Let's hope this is the norm for the weekend's weather.

So we're in the second game and both have had mentions of Sam Tomkins, without him being involved.

What does it mean
This tearjerking scene
Beamed into my home
That it moves me so much
Why all the fuss
It's only two humans being.

What was the attendance for the Saturday last year?
PROUD TO BE A MEMBER OF http://www.rugbyleaguecares.org/ and http://www.walesrugb...-wales-for-2013
Predictions for the future -
Crusaders RL to get a franchise for 2012 onwards -WRONG
Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT
Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG
Widnes Vikings NOT to dominate rugby league in years to come! STILL TO COME

I promise to pay 10 to the charity of Bomb Jacks choice if Widnes Millionaires finish above the battling underdogs Crusaders RL. I OWE A TENNER!

Felt like there was more than that TBH. Plenty from both sides of the river, good showing from Wire, Wakey, Cas & Saints. Even a sprinkling of Les Cats fans.  And it was noisier than I've previously experienced.  Whatever the actual crowd figures, its been a great day & once again we've met some great people.  Its a shame that some people knock this event.  For me its a festival of RL & should be celebrated as such.  And I'd keep it at the Etihad - its a great venue.

It's an easy kick for the lad but, as we say in Rugby League, there's no easy kicks.

Had a great day out today. Weather was great, a fantastic atmosphere at he stadium. Can't wait for tomorrow. The Hull derby was a cracker. Fun to watch.

London's performance was dire. The players didn't even try, or seem to care. If I was Dave Hughes I would be livid, and be telling several of there players to be out the door by Monday (especially Gower and O'Callaghan).

Morgan Escare looks a gun for Catalans though. He has star written all over him, and I expect plenty of interest from accross SL or his services next season.

I find it strange that we had 30k there, the lower tier was sold out today yet not tomorrow. That suggests sales were better tiday.

All those who said Murrayfield was a disaster and Manchester would be better have absolutely been proved wrong.

Just to be clear, last year the Saturday had only 3 matches, Cas v Wakey, Warrington vs Widnes, and the Hull derby. The Sunday incidentally attracted 32,953 for the other four matches.

I just feel it does not grab in anyone outside of the fans who would normally go, so does it add to the sport in anyway.  It's a great festival or RL no doubt, but so is the CC and the GF.

It does not seem to be doing anything other than adding one extra fixture off the season ticket.

Super League the only place in the world where people still believe that less competitors and a closed market to new competition will improve the quality of the product.

Even the Chinese and the Cubans gave up on these marxist principles years ago.

SL with a reduced number of competitors and a closed market = North Korea.

I'm sitting in the lower tier on the side the cameras are facing. The middle tier on the opposite side was nearly empty throughout yesterday but has a good number of Huddersfield and Widnes fans in now. Could bode well for a better attendance today.

the inside of a 3star halex table tennis ball smells much like you'd expect it to.

Bbc have given an attendance of 25000. If true that 10k short of tickets supposedly sold. Would be a real shame, still believe in the concept but it needs to move towards 40k a day

Just to be clear, todays attendance was 31,249.

The 25000 was on the PA's sport data feed that almost every site uses for its live scores. It was obviously a mistake as it was given in the middle of the afternoon before the gates closed.
