Watching the Storm v Sea Eagles game today I reckon if we could persuade Cherry Evans to partner Widdop in the halves we would be in with a real chance of finally beating the Aussies.
The Burgess' and Graham would match up with the Australian pack and with the likes of Tomkins, Hall, Adkins etc we would have a set of backs to worry them too.
Have we missed out on Cherry Evans or could he be persuaded?

He's played for the Kangaroos twice, so no chance.

We tried and failed. Widdop and Cherry Evans in the halves would be one of the best half back combinations we have ever had.

No one should ever have to be 'persuaded' to play for England Rugby League.

Cherry-Evans has made it very clear he sees himself as Australian and has no intention of playing for England. Good player, though.

He played for Australia in the 2011 Four Nations so his international Cherry has already been popped!
