The 1st one definatly missed and by a couple of foot, the 2nd one hit the top of the post and the linesman disagreed but the ref gave it somehow, 2 very tough calls

When the 2nd one hit top of the post how can it possibly be given? For it to be given it would of had to bounce back and the wind blow it through between the posts. As it would already of missed by hitting top of the post.
Can anyone confirm who watched the match on tv if these were goals?

Both should have not been allowed, the saving grace for the RFL is the last second try for Batley, meant that we wouldn't lose to a missed conversion been given!

could not tell on the first one, but the second was adjudged to have hit the inside of the top of the post and the referee decided it would have been a goal according to video ref ian smith....didn't affect the final score so not really an issue ??

it makes a massive difference as you would have been 2 points behind not 2 in front, so you would have been chasing the game not us.

What a cock u are dogga. However Batley rode some fortunate decisions and ground out a deserved win due mainly to a bit more composure when in possesion and been well coached. Sadly we are poorly coached by a clown that blames everyone bar himself. His post match comments about how good we were and the positives were a joke. Bringing in the players for training tomorrow is a joke the 5 Rhinos will not be there. Kain back to full back is a must as Watson is a total liability and It is high time Pryce was pensioned off does not even move or react to high balls

Terrible game with 2 shocking teams. Only moore from rhinos looked any good but the players look like they have talent but coach is not gelling the team. Can we still dual reg in championship 1 ?

Watson a liability ? post game threads from hawks fans hoping he was in, Dogga post spot on, we were missing Black, Greenwood, Flanagan and Lindsay, plus no dr in Fleming and Mullally.

The second one hit the inside of the post and it was the correct call.

Watson is a liability? - you must be a David March fan then?  You are clearly an anti Dual Reg person who would be happy to see Hunslet in Championship 1 next season.  Watch the game on TV he was in contention for MOTM even on the losing team.

Watson was safe all day under them high bombs and caught many on the full running forward.  One forward pass and a slip up at the end was the only thing he did wrong all day.  Positional play for the kicks was brilliant.  Unable to show his true attacking ability though in a forwards game, although did more push throughs for the ball than you would notice - did well in defence and was under every player when the ball was held up.

What gets me is, this is the second time we have had contentious goal kicks in the premier sports matches this season. We got a duff decision against Halifax, Hemingway kicked a goal against them and it was disallowed.

Why the merry flag wavers are not stood on a post each to see whether it is a goal or not is beyond me, yet both stand on the dead ball line like a pair of poodles plums and still can't get it right/agree with each other..

It was decided it would have been a goal if had not hit the post???? There's lots of times a goal could be given then. Don't understand that one as the ball hit the post and landed infield, not behind the posts!

The only problem with the video ref is, there is only a 50/50 chance of them getting right even after reviewing it. These mistakes are unforgivable, how about the one in the Hul derby ? How on earth refs get it so wrong,so often even with the technology astounds me.

I'm still really confused as to why the Haughey try was allowed on Thursday night, he was miles in front of Moore when he passed the ball, it hit Smith on the head and went forward, but there was no way Baz's touch could  be construed as playing at the ball, Haughey still in an offside position picks the ball up and the rest is history. The whole of RL is up in arms over Ganson's mistake, yet Smith who replaced him is just as inept, I hope Sharpe takes the same stand with Smith as he did with Ganson and drop him. Just what these guys are watching is beyond me.
