This has happened before - NSW need to be able to back up this performance or it's the same old story.

I always want Qld to win but a good contest at Suncorp with the Maroons winning and a decider in Sydney would be a good series.

And a longer ban. Super league has become more about the refs, rather than the game of rugby and the players.

Just to be clear, fighting is not the game of rugby and is explicitly outlawed by the laws of the game of rugby, even the NRL version.

Or, as an alternative viewpoint, a (possibly non-representative) faction of Superleague fans have become disproportionately obsessive about the refs, at the expense of the game and the players.

Great to see a NSW WIN and as for the BIFF SL NEEDS TO HAVE SOME BLOODY BIFF its like a game of touch compared to this with refs giving yellows and reds left right and centre BRING BACK THE BIFF AND BRING BACK THE FANS

ITS SIMPLE:)

CM

We have more people watching rugby league now than ever before.

Those fans you want come back ... they're dead.

I did note that despite the 'incident' happening just before half time that most of the half time discussion was about the play and they got to the reffing after that.  Which is the right way round.

Just to be clear, Rugby League is a contact Sport and occasionally that leads to some friction and aggression, fighting is not condoned anymore than it is in Ice Hockey but there are different ways to deal with it.

I would much prefer a few punches thrown than gouging or biting and some of the dirty stuff that is allowed like high shots.
Just to be clear this is only my opinion.

Just think, we could treble that if we allowed prize fighting to break out whenever and wherever on the field.

Should have played it at a 14000 capacity stadium, would have filled it.

Very good performance by NSW - thought Luke Lewis played really well. Not surprised by Queenslands performance. The likes of Cronk, Smith and Slater have looked well off the boil for weeks now when playing for Melbourne. Cronk looked too predictable with his kicking game. I'd put Inglis in at full back for game 2.

Yes, with those half time sumo wresting displays in the inflatable suits that we used to get at Old Trafford.
