Dewsbury Rams can today confirm the departure of centre Elliot Cosgrove to fellow Kingstone Press Championship team Keighley Cougars. Cosgrove has already had a spell on loan with the Cougars this season and goes straight into their team for their game at home to Workington Town this evening. The club would like to wish Elliot all the best with his future career and thank him for his services during his time at the Rams.

Really thought if given the chance,he would had done a good job for us,it's a shame, but he needs to play games if he wants to be in the Ireland squad for the World Cup later this year, good luck to him.

Cant help but agree....If we had stuck him at 3 or 4 and left him for a few games and I think he would have done pretty well for us.

Another good player lost because of bad decision making, imo and maybe a lot more Rams fans Cosgrove was sent out on loan to make way for that big waste of space Pryce who has done very little to deserve a place in the squad let alone the team I hope it works out at Keighley for him.

This is a real loss. Cosgrove was very good off the bench, added a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the team. Good luck to him.

Should be playing as a starting centre IMO. At least he was passionate about playing for our club unlike some ex superleague player we have at the moment. All the best at Keighley.

A decent player but just not quite good enough to displace those presently occupying the position. A real problem with the modern game is keeping all of the squad happy: in the "good old days" we had an A team which gave players some game time and the hope of getting into the first team. Nowadays that option no longer exists and players get unhappy just turning up for training but never playing. There are only places for 17 players each week, so a few will be unhappy and go elsewhere.

Believe what you see, don't see what you believe.

Agree -one hundred per cent trier, but not quite good enough. Jumping ship isn't always the best option though. Esposito would almost certainly have featured within weeks of his departure to the Eagles. Don't think he is getting much game time there. Still think Craven should be at FB to run the ball out with a bit of purpose, and KP in the second row.

I agree Eddie.
