Brian Hughes, organiser of the R U Taking the P? fun run in aid of Male cancer research at York University visited York City Knights on 9th June for the match against Keighley Cougars.

Brian has asked me to pass on his thanks for everyone's support on the day.

Read the article about his visit and the R U Taking the P? fundraising on the York City Knights website HERE.

Ta.

Those taking part so far (that I know of) are:

Norris the Knight
George Elliott
Andy Hall
Jamie Russo
Gary Hall
Andy Cole

But we could do with an army... if you'd like to join us, you can register online here: http://www.yorkshire...3C-0632A635C895 (registration costs £17 - 100% goes to the cause and *I think* you'll get a free T-Shirt)

There is a Just Giving page to help you make your kind donations to the R U Taking the P? fund here. Every little helps.

Let me know you're coming, and I'll add you to that list. Don't worry if you can't run - although some will run, I'll be walking it on a bum knee. If the weather's nice, it should be a nice stroll through York on a Sunday morning. It would be great if anyone taking part or coming along to support us were wearing a Knights top.

You can register on the day if you arrive before 8:45. Entry fee is £17 - it would probably be better to register online in advance though.

The "race" starts at 9.20 at Rowntree Park. You'll need to park away from there in St George's fields or the Castle Car Park if you're driving.

Check The York Press or the R U Taking the P? Facebook page for more information, and look out for York City Knights before, during and after the event.

Cheers
