According to tonights evening mail our match with York will now be on a Thursday night for the TV. I think we will struggle to get a coach up for that somehow

Its a novel change for it to be york and not Sheffield. I got stung with the move to a thursday night 3 years on the bounce. Pre booking rooms and trains never seems to pay off. I only didn't have york confirmed because I couldnt get a decent train deal sorted.

The TV companies shouldn't be allowed to do this. What about the players who have work the next day. They won't get home till after mid-night. Its an absolute joke,

Makes you wonder just who selects the games. Town have had 3 away trips on a Thursday evening for TV - Hunslet, Doncaster and Keighley - but we have never had one at home where a team from Yorkshire has to travel to Workington. Strange!!!

I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimension, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave Hadfield - Independent 25th August 1996.

Batley had to travel up to Barrow on a thursday night! However l take your point. I actually hate my team being on tv on thursdays as l see no real benefit to it.

Premier sports should do their games 6.30 on a Saturday night.

Edit: When SL moves to the Monday night slot.

Whitehaven just point blank refused to come to Sheffield on a Thursday night. I was amazed that the RFL allowed that - I hope they docked Haven's share-out. Where would we be if everybody did that ?

But back to the point, Sunday tea time would be a lot less disruptive.

I suppose it might help if your coach is one of the regular summarisers on Premier Sports!!! ;) ;)
