Cowboys' James Tamou has dropped himself in serious trouble.

Not only has he been caught drink driving, he's also got a charge of driving without a license  to face too.

He's already admitted his guilt and there's already been a call from some in the game in Oz for him to be dropped from the Cowboys team and from the Blues Origin team for Origin 2.

Whatever you think of him as a player or a bloke for that matter, he's been a plonker here.

These are not little charges, they are serious.

The law will take its course - his case comes up the week after Origin 2.

Not sure what the sentences are like in Oz, but here he would be facing the prospect of jail.

It's up to the judge but here a drink driver could get 6 months in jail or a fine or a ban for at least a year or a combination of the above!

The calls by some for action to be taken have been listened to then:

Tamou has been fined $20,000, suspended from taking part in Friday night’s clash against St George Illawarra and the second Origin clash in Brisbane as well as forgoing any potential Origin match payment.

Origin match payments are worth $30,000.

Some have called that too severe. It does amount to a lot of money when he has yet to be punished in the courts.

As I said on the Burgess thread, the Aussies bend the rules any time it suits them, but yes, there`s no way Tamou should be playing for them,or NSW.

Re playing for the Kiwis.

As a Kiwi I would want anyone playing for us who doesn't want to whole heartedly.

Taxi for Tamou.
