Our good friend Mr Stokes , who ever we have , the opposition always seems to blame the officials , if they lose , I honestly think that we have learnt to play to how each referee interprits the game this season , instead of winding them up as in seasons past

Last week Town played Leigh with Turley from Leigh reffing and Barrow played Dewsbury with Leahy from Dewsbury reffing.    They do what they want with Cumbrian clubs!!!!

I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimension, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave Hadfield - Independent 25th August 1996.

Absolutely useless today. Just when he seemed to be getting his act together, as well.
