I've had 12 PMs in the last week asking me to do something about a poster who posts within the terms and conditions of the board, not all the same person before anyone asks!  If someone plays by the rules then it's going to be highly unlikely that we bin them.  So.. what do you do if you REALLY can't stand someone who posts on here?  There is a solution, it's called the "ignore" function and here's how to use it:

1.  At the top right of the forum page you'll see your name.  Click on the down arrow next to it.

2.  On the drop down menu that shows, click on "Manage Ignore Prefs"

3.  Enter the name of the person you can't stand.

4.  Have a peaceful existence on the forum free from those posts that ruin your browsing. :)

Arguing with the forum trolls is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good you are, the bird will **** on the board and strut around like it won anyway

(Copied from the 'Leigh Centurions' thread, just to make sure everyone sees this).

I am getting really, really tired of the same individuals sniping at each other in various threads on here instead of sticking to the point(s) under discussion. It's like listening to a broken record at times. Make your point, then stop. People will disagree with you. Accept it. You don't have to repeat yourself to be heard, and you don't have to get personal either.

Here's a tip: the next time anyone turns a thread into a personal point-scoring excercise, no matter who it is, their posting rights will be suspended without warning and until such time as I think the message might have got through to them that we will no longer tolerate this kind of behaviour on here.

This warning also includes any attempts to goad other members into personal responses too.
