Mate can you please just post a link instead, what you have done there is a breach of copyright and the Press won't be best pleased.

The longer they leave it, the less chance there is that YCFC and YCK will still be around due to their dilapidated stadia becoming increasingly unfit for purpose - if they're both gone, no need for any stadium in York: nice new flats and a backhander for the planning commitees.

We should march. Gav can lead it.

Listening to comments from the radio during the day the councillor's involved seem to enjoy blaming each other for
mish mash excuses, truth be known they just don't want to provide thier part of the financial package,we have seen the way they spend obscene amounts of council tax payers monies, this is not exceptable for the sporting thousands in the City of York, the question should be asked are the council bothered what people care about in YORK,the word Action should be top of the agenda.

Still don't understand now, as I have never understood, why we have to build a new stadium rather than upgrading the facilities we already have, surely this would help keep things on time and budget.

However like others on here I think there is another agenda going on, and a new stadium was never going to happen

Today`s (20th June) Press says in a statement that Richard France, MD of the Oakgate Group, that the Group has paid £18 million to the City of York in planning contributions including £13.75 million towards the stadium. So why are we having to wait ???. Has this money actually been paid or has it only agreed to pay it.

There is a need to question why it's going to take 3 years to see the end result, what was the money spent on a community zsar for, surely all the coming together of choosing and building of the New Community Stadium should have been well under way,but of course we are talking of York City Council.

No wonder its delayed. If Dave 'Nosey' Parker is to be believed we should be looking for another £71m...

It says the stadium is costing £90 million, £71 million more than the cost.

One piece of advice to both clubs. If the council are running the new ground - or a sperate company like at the LSV - make sure that everything that you are to pay, your access to the ground and relationships with the people running it are set in stone way before you move in to it. Don't move in and expect things to be on your side because it won't be. We have had allsorts of runnins with the councill and the LSV company and it has taken untill this season for us to really get them to understand what the clubs need and what we can afford in order to keep afloat. I joke you not there have been major problems for Leigh Centurions and Leigh East with both the councill and the LSV. Be warned.

Cheers for the support mate - good to know a fan is a fan is a fan and we all share the same concerns. What you describe is why it's taking so long to happen tbh. YCFC would have happily moved into a Council owned stadium years ago, but by making sure YCK won't be get shafted and we'll have at least what we have now, our chairman became York's Public Enemy #1. He's pretty much capable of running the stadium business in the same way the leaseholders would, so YCK are unlikely to be reamed - YCFC still might be though... but their packaging and clown wig fixatives will be tip top.

Must say it's the 1st time we've visited the LSV and would be more than happy with a Stadium of that quality, take on board your comments but we got to first base yet,if it happens it's looking like 2016.

Have to say that your young team were more than a match today and didn't really deserve that scoreline. Young Pressley will be difficult to keep hold of and the young lad at 25. Used to come and watch you lot when I was working in York a couple of years ago. Was funny when I brought along a few RU toffs from London into the bar under the big stand. They looked like lost puppies.

Goodluck Yorkies.
