Clare sticking with Tigers

The 22-year-old winger is another product of the Tigers’ Youth Development System having made his debut in March 2012 and has since gone on to score four tries.
Clare said he was delighted to sign a new contract with his hometown club.
“It’s a dream come true for me. I’ve been banging on Steve Gill’s (CEO) door for a while asking for a new contract and when Daryl Powell came in he agreed that I should have one.
“I’ve got a hunger and thirst to keep playing for Cas and I want to repay the faith that has been shown in me by the coaching staff at the Club. It’s still a surreal feeling for me that I am playing for Castleford Tigers.
“When Daryl came in he said it was an even playing field – everyone will be given a chance and they have to take it.
“I know that I can’t put my feet up – I have to keep working hard to earn a spot in the team as there is strong competition for places. I have to keep on my toes and when Daryl gives me a chance I’ve got to take it.
“I’m happy that I’ve been given some game time and I know that there are still some kinks that I need to work out and I’ll be working extremely hard to improve my game.”
