BARLA CHAIR BACKS FESTIVAL OF WORLD CUPS

Recommended Posts

On the eve of the Festival of World Cups which incorporate Armed Forces, Wheelchair, Student, Women and Police events the newly installed BARLA Chair Sue Taylor has given her and the Associations backing of the events.

Recently elected BARLA Chairman, Sue Taylor, sad: “The Festival of events begins on Sunday and continues for 14 days which culminate with the Armed Forces and Wheelchair Finals taking place on Saturday 13th July and the Police, Women and Student Finals climaxing in a triple header on Sunday 14th July.

“I and BARLA are backing these events some of which are being played outside the traditional rugby league playing areas and I would urge supporters throughout the country to support the events as a pre curser the Rugby League World Cup 2013.

“I am aware that rugby league is predominantly played at the weekend at all ages throughout the country but during the festival there are many games in the various competitions being played during the weeks.

“It would be fitting that all the games are well attended to applaud all the participants and reward all the hard work that the organisers have put to make the event a success.”

The Festival begins on Sunday 30th June with the Armed Forces World Cup in Colchester and culminates with their final at Colchester on Saturday 13th July, the Wheelchair Final at Medway, Gillingham the same day and the Police, Women and Student Finals at the Headingley Carnegie Stadium, Leeds on Sunday 14th July.

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”  Eleanor Roosevelt
