London v Leeds has just been moved from Monday 5th August to Thursday 1st August, putting it in direct competition with the Championship match on Premier Sports. Warrington v Widnes will be on Thursday 15th August.

Seems to be a permanent decision as well. Much prefer Mondays, and Saturday evenings before that.

Mondays is fine. I have nothing to do on a Monday night.

I was planning on going to this with a few guys from the rugby club, but training is on a Thursday, so that's ruled that out.

Is this because the soccer season will have started again by August?

Hope Premier Sports move their Thursday night game to Saturday or Monday in response.

If Premier sports move to a 6.30 Saturday KO that will be great.

rather watch Hornets v Oldham on premier than Wolves v Widnes on Sky
Success does not consists in never making blunders, but in never making the same one the second time.

It'll be a closer and more evenly matched game..... Wires won't slip up again.

Aye bless 'em. You do think they must be working on some fairly tight budgets there. Either that, or they are very unlucky with their "technical difficulties". Like watching the rugby on premier sports though.

Could this be a good thing; the stirrings of competition between broadcasters to show rugby league?

What are sky's football plans? Saturday: 12 kick off & 5:30 kick off. Sunday: 1pm & 4pm

Can't we have the usual Friday 8pm, and a Saturday 8pm? I can honestly see Thursday night games being awfully attended.

Why not go back to 6.30 on Sunday after the soccer !

Because they have to start showing the repeats of the matches that have just finished!

6.30 after the soccer would be a cracking slot if I'm honest.

Edit* on a Sunday that is.

I think premier sports should show their games these weeks on Sunday evening, it is a good slot, they had a couple of games at the start of the season at that time.
Sky sports as far as i am aware are really pushing Monday night football with Gary nevile and Jamie redknapp
