Hi all,

Just to let you know that some of the players who played in Great Britain's 26-12 win over Australia in Sydney in 1988 will be at Cas on Tuesday the 9th to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the match. A DVD of the game will be shown.

It was the first time that Great Britain had beaten Australia in ten years.

It will be at 7pm at the Wish Communications Suite at the stadium, so come along, have a beer and meet people like Malcolm Reilly, Andy Gregory, Henderson Gill, Hugh Waddell, Keith Gregory (father of Mike) and some of the squad members like John Joyner, Kevin Beardmore, Lee Crooks and Garry Schofield.

I have to confess to having a slight agenda for organising the evening as I will be launching my book, 'Rugby League, A Critical History: 1980-2013'.

Hope to see you all there!

Here are the match details by the way:

Good luck, sounds like it should be a good night. I take it there's no tickets or anything, you can just turn up?
