Sorry it's taken so long but here are the memories of a person who attended the meeting.
Ian was accompanied by Chris Hough, Tony Stewart and Paul Crook.
Ian explained that the Dual Registration system worked like this.
Ian is told each week which players are available to him an he decides if we have places tat need strengthening or gaps we need to fill. For instance, last week we needed half backs. He doesn't just use players for the sake of it, for instance jus lately he was offered player on Friday night but refused as the team had been picked and the player hadn't trained with us. When we played the Scorpions they had 5 Wigan players in Wigan kit who stayed in the hotel and didn't even train with the other players.
Ian thinks the Dual Registration works and the Saints players interact with our guys and join in the banter and everything and they are 100% Hornets when they pull on the shirt!
The players like training at Saints and don't train in Rochdale as they can't get the right facilities. Hopwood Hall was tried but they got messed about.
The players do have training kit and this is washed by Ian which shows his level of commitment to the club.
Ian stressed that he was trying to shield the players from negativity on the forum and Twitter and was very forceful in saying that he didn't accept tat the players were not committed to Rochdale Hornets.
Ian has always given the players everything needed and he brings referees to training to see what triggers the players, he also talks regularly with Ian Smith.
Ian confirmed that Matt Calland hade made valuable contributions especially in the away game t Oldham.
Ian refuted that he'd congratulated the team after the recent Crusaders defeat but says he di point out the positives as ranting achieves nothing in his view.
When asked if h would be coach next season he said he didn't know, he'd heard that it might e Matt Calland but would o hat is right for his family.
Ian stressed that there were still 5 home games left and promotion was still a possibility although now only through the play-offs as the Crusaders couldn't be caught.
Ian asked that he fans get behind the players for the remainder o h season as this really does make them tick.
