well without even playing a game, today has been great in our quest for survival. barrow, york, hunslet and swinton all losing brings us a step closer to safety. now with two games in hand and swinton up next we should be looking upwards rather than over our shoulder come next sunday.

excellant result for haven today as well, which probably makes them safe for next year.

Not with the home games they've got coming up, they should win a few more at home yet so that'll see them in the top 7 I think if we're being realistic

i think realistically looking at the fixtures haven will finish just above us. but who cares, weve both had very good years.

They've an easier run of fixtures than us so I'd be surprised if its any different.

The deluded ones will now be thinking they're capable of winning the Grand Final. :jester:

We just need to take care of our own business . Stay in this league , consolidate , then we can look to push on next year and be stronger.I'm not concerned by what they or any other team does , we're both small fish in a big pond as of now anyway . If we stay up in a blooming hard league in year one its job done , despite the naivety we show at times , and a platform laid for better things hopefully to come .

Out of the bottom group of 9 teams I've got to say Whitehaven have been the best I've seen and if they finish 6th then well done to them. Like has been said on here the first priority was to survive and I don't think we achieved that just yet but we're not far away.

Its all immaterial whether we finish 6th, 9th or 11th, neither club has a chance of winning the play offs. The most important numbers this year are 13th and 14th, so long as we don't finish in those positions then its been a successful season.

Workington Town. Then. Now. Always.

I said at the start of the season that I would take 12th place, and Iwould still be happy with that.

I felt the same, but now I think we need top 10 due to this restructuring business.

Really ? Lot of footy to be played yet . Far to close to call and so many ups n downs no doubt between now and the seasons end . I wouldn't be comfortably calling any end positions yet .

And it will almost certainly have top be top 9 (if not top 8 due to the fact that the RFL will let in Toulouse (and maybe a 3rd French club) so as to cerment a deal with a French TV company.

I'm sure I'll think of something funny to say soon.
