Can't  see anything but a Crusaders win here, possibly by quite a lot.

London Skolars will make history when they face North Wales Crusaders in the Northern Rail Bowl at The Shay Stadium on Saturday July 20 (2.30).
This will be the first ever final for the club who were founded as an Old Boys Student Rugby League team in 1995 and have been semi-professional since 2003.
However, head coach Joe Mbu insists they are not getting carried away.

PREVIEW

North Wales Crusaders v London Skolars (2.30pm – Premier Sports)

North Wales Crusaders coach Clive Griffiths admits he might not be able to stop the tears if the Crusaders can win Saturday’s Northern Rail Bowl.
Griffiths said: “I was pretty emotional when we qualified for the final, but I’ll have to be sponsored by Kleenex if we actually win it.”
He added: “One of my favourite sayings is that the ‘work in progress’ signs are still around the ground and training ground, but we’ve made terrific progress.
“From a blank sheet of paper in December 2011 to where we are now 18 months later is Roy of the Rovers stuff.”
Crusaders will start as favourites in their first major final, but London Skolars coach Joe Mbu remains quietly confident after a four-match winning streak.
Mbu said: “For the players and everyone involved, we’re just looking forward to enjoying the day and making the most of it. We want to be 100 per cent in terms of our preparation.”
The Skolars are at full strength for Saturday’s match, while Toby Adamson (ankle) is Crusaders’ only doubt.

How many tickets have been allocated to each team?

Not sure of ticket allocation,  but Crusaders have reported sales of over 300 tickets.  We have 3 supporters Club coaches running.  The Turf is opening for pre-travel breakfasts.  Come what may the Crusaders support will be loud, lively and fantastic fun and we will support our team to hopefully a well deserved win for Clive Griffiths and John Fieldhouse. Look out for hats, scarves, replica shirts, kilts and of course - half time beach balls.  Cru Cru CRUSADERS

For Clive, John, the backroom staff, the squad and the 300 fans travelling to Halifax.....

" We heard Crusaders were on the warpath. We were eager to join forces"
"If it is victory you seek, your welcome to join us"
But you bring only this handful supporters, ...against Skolars? I see I was wrong to expect Crusaders commitment to at least match our own"

"You, there, What is your profession?"
"I'm a potter, Sir."
"And you, Cestrian, what is your profession?"
"Hair stylist, Sir"
"And you?"
"Sheep farmer"

"CRUSADERS!! WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSION"
AAWOO! AAWOO! AAWOO!

"You see old friend, I brought more supporters than you did."

no doubt the fans will turn out in large numbers, if they can take over 100 to thatto heath then i am sure the final will be a wall of noise from them.

Looking forward to this so much.

Father is driving, which is excellent news, let's hope the bar is well stocked! Got a first-timer coming along with us, who has decided to give the game ago despite his advancing years, so here's hoping for a close game.. in the second match!

Knowing first-hand how much hard work Jamie Thomas and his team have done, I'm hoping this will be the first step in vindicating their hard work. Something special and genuine and real is building here in North Wales, and without the likes of Jamie and Clive Griffiths, all we would have is memories of Super League, rather than long-term aspirations.

40:20 skolars.

Split on who to cheer for here. I naturally side with the underdogs but also really like Crusaders.

Think the ref is doing well.

Shows how many cameras you need for effective vr - difficult for the vr on a couple here.

Absolute farce of a video decision. The ball clearly wasn't either on or over the line!

you could clearly see the dark of the grass between the white of the line, and the white of the ball.

Maybe you two had a different camera angle from me, the VR and the commentary team.

Good use of the trademark 'farce' though.
