i cant see anything happening at whitebank.

i reckon we'll either be back at boundary park or at salfords ground.

failing that we'll be back on the road to spotland

Salford never, to far, to problematic travelling for fans, can't see that.

Spotland again no, fixtures would need  rigging to avoid clashes with Hornets.

Boundry Park favourite but will they have us again?

But we  have to wait and see people are already assuming we are or will be promoted, its not happened yet??

Has there ever been any likelihood of sharing with Curzon Ashton FC? Less than three miles from Whitebank, right by the M60 and an ideal size/quality for Championship games.

It's £80k to flatten the pitch.

When we were looking at which SL club to partner one of them asked us to flatten the pitch as part of the partnership and that was the price quoted

Crikey, we'll have to call him RobthemegarichGardener.

Feeling that was a quote to put them off doing the work....

Regarding the Don Valley Stadium we will probably end up with the eight lane running track and the Long Jump pit

I will resist the temptation to say you can go for a running jump.

On a more serious note it is sad to see such a wonderful stadium bite the dust. It might not be the most suited to Rugby but it will be a loss to the sporting world.

thought id dig this out rather than start a new thread...

scunthorpe united are in the process of seeking planning permission for a new stadium, there current stadium was only built in 1988 and could be taken down and rebulit, much like featherstone have done with a old stands from Scarborough ...

at the very least we should make a bid for their floodlights lol

Which is why a ground fund from the start of Whitebank being occupied is an opportunity missed I think.

Agree with you Singe, should be a ground fund, there is squadbuilder so why not Groundbuilder, then again there is no marketing or merchandise from the club, even new shirts aint out yet with 3 wks to go, the lack of marketing/ideas for funding etc is worrying when the product on the pitch is excellent. So many missed opportunities including not fully using the clubhouse. Sometimes i despair.

this is why is keep going on about membership scheme....

as is always the case with RL in oldham we have different factions all pulling in different directions

we have chris hamilton pleading for investment

we have rugby oldham more than willing to put money towards developing whitebank

and we have the supporters trust putting money into the squad builder...

do i really need to spell out what needs to happen??

guess i do....

the supporters trust & rugby oldham NEED TO MERGE and bring in my much described "membership scheme"

and chris NEEDS TO GIVE the merged association 49% of the club..

barring a multi millionaire buying the club the above is the ONLY way we're going to develop!

Oldham does not have a Supporters Trust! If you think it has, then you are clearly not a member of ORSA, so perhaps that could be a start for you, 'roughyedspud'!

I would also like to inform you that ORSA, which is a fans' association raising money to support and sponsor the players and coaching staff, runs a SQUAD STRENGTHENER FUND which enable fans to support the Club with the signing of players who are beyond the player budget set aside at the start of the season. ORSA administers the scheme but does not contribute to the scheme.

Also, what on earth makes you think that a fans' association would have any interest whatsoever in being any more than just that!!

I suggest you get your facts correct first and if you really believe that what you are suggesting is really possible, then just speak to all parties first and ask for their opinions, before spouting what others should be doing!!
