Today v Titans

20 Runs

188 Metres

2 Line Breaks

1 Offload

21 Tackle Busts

1 Try

6 tries already this season. I was not sure whether GB was a novelty act and the NRL would work him out but I watch nearly all South Sydney's game and he is monstering them most weeks. Has a great knack of being the player who plays the ball immediately before a try is scored too. Souths have been starting him in the last few weeks - he seems to be able to play a lot of minutes which is a real bonus.

Agreed. Was excellent today and will be interesting to see if he can do well at Test level.

There's no reason why he shouldn't do. None of the forwards in the NRL seem to be able to cope with him.

playing against an Aussie or Kiwi pack is a bigger test than playing against any NRL club pack.

George and Sam Burgess should be the first names on the England team sheet. If Tom kicks on in the same way then he should command a prop bench spot for England by the end of he season. With how they are killing it for Souths I really do think that the Aussies would start wondering how they are going to contain us rather than how they are going to blow us off the park!

He beasted Scott and Tamou when Souths played the Cowboys. Seriously, barring injury England are going to have an ungodly front row - Sam Burgess, George Burgess and James Graham on the pitch at the same time will be destructive!

im sure they will do a good job, but no nrl team has a test quality pack.

All 3 Burgess brothers were just insane today.. a running joke in Aus at the moment is that Souths are becoming a 'one-family team' ;-))

No NRL players face a pack as good as Englands week in week out either. If george, sam and james keep playing as they are they will cause any side a great deal of problems.
"surely they've got to try somthing different now, maybe the little chip over the top?2

i know. We have seen plenty of top Aussies and kiwis playing test rl. Similarly we have seen Graham and Sam Burgess perform at test level. George hasnt played for England yet so needs to prove he can step up. Im very confident he can and will.

Luke was going well last season and if he can come back and kick on from those displays he'd be in with a shout but it needs to happen soon for him to be in with a shout

yep.......

look, the starting 13 and 17 are virtually already picked....the world cup squads are only 23men iirc , the 6 squad players have to be select carefully not just on playing ability but on what type of blokes they are,you don't want people chucking their toys out the pram upsetting team moral because they don't get a game...so yes id select luke, good enough to step up if needed and will boost overall team

I'd definitely now start with George. So, Mr. Graham and George in the starting front row and Sam at 13.
