What does it mean
This tearjerking scene
Beamed into my home
That it moves me so much
Why all the fuss
It's only two humans being.

Also, I'd give a squad place to Tom but I can understand the argument for not including him.

If Widdop recovers in time from his injury he should be a shoe in as should big George! Then again who knows what McNamara will do?

We can only live in hope.

I'd definitely now start with George. So, Mr. Graham and George in the starting front row and Sam at 13.

is George a starting prop? Not seen all the games for souths but he seems to make a great impact stepping off the bench.

It was like the Burgess show against the Titans with Sam getting 2 and George 1 while all three were involved in everything!

I've no faith in MacNamara picking the right combination of forwards, his ridiculous handling of Brough and his terrible use of Widdop in the last 4Ns shows how clueless he is, he'll probably overlook George in favour of Morley.

why will having Luke Burgess in the squad boost the overall team?

cos the more players we have that are used to smashing into the aussies week in week out, players who can sit in a dressingroom and say "c'mon lads they are'nt the supermen you believe them to be" will boost team moral.....plus he's a burgess lol

I completely disagree with this. Players should be picked on their playing form only in my opinion. If Luke comes back, plays enough games and shows himself to be better than Mossop, Hill et al then pick him, otherwise the top UK based props should be selected.

Personally if I was Hill or Mossop I'd be thinking that if Luke Burgess can do well in the NRL then I have nothing to worry about, and you don't need him sitting in the changing rooms with them to tell them that.

I love watching the Burgess brothers for Souths, and I think Sam and George are certainties, but I think it is disrespectful to the likes of Hill and Mossop (amongst others) to want to give two world cup spots to two players who have played three games between them so far this year simply because their name is Burgess.

McNamara's selections haven;t been anywhere near as outlandish as some on here would have you believe.

There have been many coaches who have questioned Brough's work ethic - maybe it's because I'm a Wire fan and he never shows up against us, but I just don't see him doing it in big games.

Widdop is a funny one - I'd play him, but then his place went to the Man of Steel - so again, I suspect McNamara isn't on his own. (let's not do this whole discussion again though!).

McNamara has used well over 50 players I think it was when I looked in the last 3 years, he doesn't play it safe.

I'm certainly no massive fan of him, but I find it mad that people will ignore the performances at Wembley and Hull in the last 4N just so they can get petty digs in.

On the forwards, I do agree with some here that I would go for a huge pack to charge into the Aussies and that would feature Sam and George Burgess, I'd rather we have a pack like this than one with JJB, Wilkin and Farrell.

I'd have Sam Burgess in the 2nd row. O'Loughlin at 13.
Hill, Mossop, G Burgess and Graham are 4 good props. Room for another in the squad - Crabtree?

Yes - I'd have Crabtree in there, I also think you may need another one for the whole squad too.

Brough has been THE stand out player in SL this year and has been one of the best for 4 or 5 seasons, McNamaras handling of him has been outrageous and not selecting him in a 40 man train on squad was a public insult!

Using Widdop, one of the best stand offs in the NRL, for a handfull of minutes a game betrays his stupidity!

You think that the continuous selection of JJB, Wilkin and Ablett amongst others isn't questionable!
His selection of Chase smacks of desperation!
Trawling Australia and NZ in search of players he can coax into the England camp is embarrassing!
Painting himself into a corner by naming Sinfield as Capt 18 months ago was about as daft as it gets, we now have a player who's been woefully out of form all season, outplayed by Brough on a number of occasions, but he's guaranteed to start for England.

We haven't performed as a team unless its been against substandard opposition and when meeting any team which contains quality we've struggled or been beaten.

Why should I or anyone else have any faith in the England Coach, a bloke who got the job because there was no one else, who was out of his depth at Bradford and who is so monumentally out of touch that he publicly disrespected the very fans that he wants to turn up and support his team.

Personally I enjoyed our performance against the Aussies at Wembley, and thought we were brilliant against the Kiwis - disappointing again against the Aussies in the final, but that's the same under better managers.

I find it strange that you weren;t impressed with those two games, but hey that's your opinion.

Anyway, keep it down, there's a match on!!!

I think that he could (and does) do a great job in either role.
