This Saturday (August 3rd) Bramley Buffaloes have organised a Rugby League event in Bramley Library in Hough lane. It is part of the Try Reading project which aims to link support for major sporting events (like the Rugby League World Cup) with encouraging people to take interest in reading, writing, drama or just using their local library more.

I have been invited to give a talk on how I have managed to write five novels that all have a strong Rugby League background. I'll be reading extracts from One Winter, One Spring, One Summer, One Autumn and Two Seasons, highlighting the humour that is found both at work and on the terraces and encouraging others to have a go at doing what I have done (and enjoyed doing may I add!).

The event runs from 11 to1, and seperate activities have been organised for children so you can bring them along too if you wish.

www.geofflee.net for news of my novels, One Winter, One Spring, One Summer, One Autumn and Two Seasons. All are written against a strong Rugby League background, set in South Lancashire and inspired by the old saying about work: "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller".
