Do we do any ball work at all ?? We must have the worst attack and completion rate in the universe . They were shot and there to be hammered if we could dream up any kind attack at all

Full time Town 25 Cougars 18

Despite what sounds a below bar performance, that does make us mathmatically safe, and that

was the main aim this season.  Also if we were so poor and won, what does that make our friends

up the road? ;)   Above them in table as well, so not all bad.

At least town got the win. Hopefully it took a lot out of them and they field an under 18s team or something on Sunday.

So many of the sets are exactly the same wonder . Everybody takes it in turns to have a drive - in one set Callum drove it in twice ! We pass the ball less than any team , never offload , and the final third attack is like pulling teeth . Everybody else seems to have more ideas and spark . Teams who are there for the taking are never nailed down due to endless errors and blunt attack ... And to cap it off Feather dived over from dummy half again for the 500 th consecutive time against us since he made his debut in 1826

not to worry mate , I know you all crave that game where the ball gets out early and you play expansive rugby . TBF though mate I bet some of them are hurting and Im not surprised because you  rely so much on gutsy defence to get a win ,  which can take its toll in such short turnarounds. How did carter do on the wing or did hulme play there ? did conor come on at hooker ?? ( Keith will be pleased )

Carter did fine as a second full back / winger .His best game of the season . Briscoe was really good , he oozes authority and class . He is just safe full stop . Hulme played centre but was hardly ever sighted with the ball not getting to him . Hope the Beast and Olstrum are ok .

Still need 1 more point to be mathematically safe.

Shame . He's great . Thacks is caviar and cabbage . Awesome runs and real intensity then the simplest of mistakes ! He was really on tonight though despite them . I wouldn't be quick to jettison him .

Still need 1 more point to be mathematically safe.

Swinton and Barrow got to play each other - so both cant get to 36 points

York and Huns play each other so one of those cant get to 36 points

So we are safe?

I think a few are being a bit harsh on the team tonight. We ran out of players and steam late on, they looked shattered. Plus Keighley had 5 or 6 in who were fresh in. Got the win we needed though, can start looking to recruit for next season now.

There's been a few games you think we're gonna really push on ... But it doesn't happen and teams get closer than they ever should .That ref totally ignored holding down against Swinton as well .
