WELCOME TO NRL ROUND 24
.
This round kicks off on Friday 16th August.

Hasn't the season flown by? There's just two regular rounds left after this before the finals begin.

Our tipping competition runs on right through to and including the Grand Final.
There's a full set of eight games again to tip this coming weekend.
Everyone reading this is welcome to enter this weekly competition which runs throughout the season.
Whether you've taken part before or you fancy having a go this week for the first time you're guaranteed a warm welcome.
Entries are allowed each week up until the kick off of the first game in the round

ROUND 24 QUESTIONS:
*Poll Competition:
Our regular poll comp looks at a different aspect each week.

This week let's look for the games where there will be loads of points scored.
How many games will see a total of 50 or more points scored in NRL R24?
that's both team's scores added together.

- enter in the poll itself at the top and put your answer in your posting.

Now the main event of the week:

*Match tipping Competition:
Name the 8 (that's EIGHT) winning teams in NRL Round 24 2013

*Points Competition
How many points will be scored by all the teams added together in R24?
This is a competition in itself and will act as a tie breaker for the match tipping comp if necessary. This is used as the decider when necessary so do give it a go.

*Away Win Competition:
How many AWAY wins will there be in NRL R24?
In rounds where the game is on the road and played at a neutral venue, the team named first in the fixture will be regarded as the home team for the purposes of this competition.

Fixtures:

NRLR242013_zpse62e7176.jpg

Animated awards will be given for the winner(s) of each competition question.
Match tipping scores are being added together as the season is progressing to produce a Tipsters' Ladder which is pinned to the top of the forum topic list page

The best of luck to everyone this week.
Enjoy your Rugby League! B)

Penrith or Broncos, RLW?

I'm assuming Broncos from the number of away wins you have predicted.

Hi Stoney

Rabbitohs seem to be almost back to their best. Like you I think they'll win this one - Bulldogs beat an off-it Raiders last week and are not the sort of team I'd put my shirt on. The thing is they are big - but so are Bunnies.

Warriors have some top class players  and when they all hit their straps they are fearsome. They hit some great form after a bad start to the season but have stuttered a bit lately. I went for Titans at home - it looks like they have Albert Kelly back too.

Know what you mean about that bounce back effect. Like you I don't think it will be enough to beat a Manly side who have a great set of backs and tough forwards.

As we go into the last Saturday game between Cowboys and Knights, 13thman and Barney are sharing the early lead with 3/4 .

Looking at everyone's remaining selections, they can't be caught as we've all tipped the same teams in the four remaining fixtures.

After that cock-a-hoop Rovers win on Thursday and now this relative success Barney, you must feel like you're walking on air and sniffing the ozone.

Thank goodness at least 13 is keeping you in check!
