All eight Round 24 matches in the round are being shown in the UK this weekend:

The opening game of the round  sees  a reinvigorated Rabbitohs clashing with a big Bulldogs sidewhose confidence will have been boosted with their away win in Canberra last weekend.

This should be a cracking encounter.

Storm are the other top four team to be at home against bottom side Eels while Sea Eagles and Roosters are both on the road.

The three Saturday games look to be between closely matched teams. Dragons have gone so close to winning plenty of games that went away from them in the end. Maybe this one against Tigers will be there chance to put a smile on their fans' faces.

It's been a turbulent week for Raiders who have sacked their head coach with immediate effect. To have to face a powerful outfit like Manly this Saturday will be daunting for them.

Roosters are great to watch at the moment sitting as they do at the top of the ladder. They'll not have to be complacent though against a Sharks outfit that canproduce a shock result on their day.

This week's Round 24  fixture between Dragons and Tigers is staged at Sydney Cricket Ground. What a fantastic venue to bring the fans to.

It'll be 50 years to the day that St George (Dragons) took on Western Suburbs (Magpies) in the 1963 Grand Final there.

It was a memorable game in atrocious weather conditions.

Link to report of this much remembered final

Not long to go now before the first game of the weekend is shown, Rabbitohs v Bulldogs. Should be a belter too, Two big mobile sides coming head to head.

Look out for some fireworks!

Souths and Doggies game was a great game. As a neutral I found it got better as Canterbury fought their way back into contention in the second half.

Knights' Kade Snowden was sent off for a shoulder charge that connected with Cowboys' Ray Thompson which left him bleeding, in pain and taken from the field with a suspected broken jaw.

It was reckless rather than full of malice, but didn't look good on replay and of course resulted in a head injury.
