It's a cosequence of the salary cap rules.

Despite catching everybody's eye on his debut in the Tiogers game vs Dragons Wests cvan't pick him again as they've used up their salary cap allowance.

 

The fact that he played at all in this game was contentious as it seems he only played through special dispensation from the NRL after Dragons had objected to him being allowed to play in this fixture today.
