Yeh and Lancashire County Cricket Club, is based in?

They play the majority of their home county championship matches between Liverpool and Manchester

Both Liverpool and Manchester are Lancashire cities

Since Hull won the cup in 2005 we have had 7 Lancs V Yorks cup finals.

2006 St. Helens V Huddersfield
2008 St. Helens V Hull
2009 Warrington V Huddersfield
2010 Warrington V Leeds
2011 Wigan V Leeds
2012 Warrington v Leeds
2013 Wigan V Hull

Score so far......Lancashire 7 Yorkshire 0. I wonder what the magic formula is that seems to be giving the teams from the west of the pennines the edge on the big day? Some quality opposition from Yorkshire, but each and every time they have fallen flat on their faces when it mattered, most notably Leeds, who usually then went on to win the Grand Final. Have they just been outplayed/outcoached on the day like Warrington V Leeds in 2010, outclassed( Saints V Hudds in 2006)or is there an underlying factor as to why they just can't win at Wembley?

no underlying factor at all.Its just how things go.Leeds didn't win a championship till 1961 even though they had many great teams playing in the championship final. Also in 1961 they had won the more times than anyother.Up to 2004 they had won only 3 titles now they havve added 6.Its just how things turn out
but you and I weve been through that and this is not our fate.
So let us so let us not talk falsely now.

It all comes in Cycles, although some Cycles take longer than other's .I mean 1954 seems an awful long time ago now doesn't it?

I view it that Lancashire, are to the counties like Aus are to the world.

They feel so crushingly insecure that they need to constantly prove themselves through sport

Its a bit uncouth really, but what can you expect.

Pedantry is the last bastion of a scoundrel Franksy. You'd be better off working out if your lot are Lancastrians or not.

What do you base your opinions on?

Maybe Australians enjoy Sport and don't mind trying to win.

Aussies crushingly insecure?

;)

when will the barbaric hordes east of saddleworth realise that they are vastly inferior to the county palatine......
"Why is Napoleon crying ?" said one sailor to the other, "poor ###### thinks he's being exiled to st helens" came the reply.

Lancastrians are just more inventive with there sub county names.  We do not expect creativity from ~Yorkshire folks.  Just your simple North/West/South etc. Although the folk of Humberside decided not just to settle with East.

Super League the only place in the world where people still believe that less competitors and a closed market to new competition will improve the quality of the product.

Even the Chinese and the Cubans gave up on these marxist principles years ago.

SL with a reduced number of competitors and a closed market = North Korea.
