Now this season is out of the way time to start thinking about next season, who would we like to see in a raiders shirt next season? I definitely think it would be worth trying to sign Ben Helliwell if not permanantly then maybe on another loan deal.

Helliwell would be a great signing but he's contracted to fev for another season .. Perhaps the BOD could get him back on loan but then they can still recall him as and when like they did Sunday as is their right .. But would still be worth it !

I'd like to see a permanent full back sign instead of on loan! Maybe Brett carter or andy Ballard

would love to see Ballard back but not sure we could afford him. I hope we can retain a few players from this season and build around them.

Either Carter or Ballard would be a great signing but like Mike has said its got to be realistic financially.

Hellewell would be a great loan signing as well

We need a couple of old heads, maybe a prop (or 2) and a halfback + another hooker to compliment Mossy (assuming he resigns ;) ). Finchy has effectively retired Nicko is off to Batley and Dandy is only Champ 1 standard. Wonder what Gleesons doing these days....( JOKING :tease: ).

A fast big strong centre wouldn't go amiss either

Do we have anyone who signed a 2 year deal at the start of this season?

Ballard has missed a full season because he spat his dummy out due to not getting to play in the position he wanted....your welcome to him.

A quality full back is definitely a priority !

We have struggled this season in many games due to not having a specialist number one.

Think barrow bod need to invest some money this year in the hope we stay up and stay in super league 2 but it will be a hard task to get in the top 9 .

We should start scouring the antipoedian market, pick up a few Fijians like Sheffield did a few yrs back, likes of QLT, Menzie Yere and Taluapapa. Wouldn't cost the earth, but adds a few instant fan favourites to the team due to their hard hitting nature.,

It's going to be the perfect opportunity to vet some of the current talent out there with the World Cup coming up. A few of those Pacific Islanders are going to be in the shop window: If we don't pounce, plenty of others will I'm sure. Other clubs seem to manage ok with work permits/Visas etc. I guess it's a case of doing the necessary paperwork in plenty of time.

Paying for accommodation for the year and flights might get in the way until we are debt free. Keep the faith guys.

The thing with overseas lads is the flights over, the accommodation here for them and their gf/wife, as well as fees for all extra paperwork visas/permits etc, it all adds up. Given our current state with money, which granted has gotten better with the bods efforts, would you rather spend all that money on one overseas lad or maybe two-three out of towners who can car share to games and training?

Beat me to it balla!

I believe they let the sponsorship for overseas players lapse after I left so I don't think we have that option anymore.

Why pay for an overseas license if you're not in a position to bring in overseas players ? Seems pointless to me . Perhaps one day when the club is in a position to bring in overseas players they will apply for a license . Just my opinion . 😉

I wouldn't have thought the club would be in the position to sack a coach with a year remaining on his contract, but they have?

The more I think about it,the more I can't understand it.We have serious financial problems and we do something like that,it just does not add up to me?
Lets see who they bring in I guess?
