I think that's an issue that needs looking at next year . I know we're part time and circumstances are different , but next season is gonna be a real dogfight . Look how close the league was this year ... It'll be just as close or closer next with all teams scrapping to get into SL 2 . Only 9 spots is there ? Boy it may come down to one loss when you weren't at full strength . Important we have full availability and commitment throughout the season . Next year is the year which determines your future . Tough one I know .

Why do we seem to have this at the back end of every season? I understand when players are injured, etc, but holidays seem to take away quite a lump of our playing squad and I don't read about this so much at other clubs. Maybe I'm just being old fashioned.

I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimension, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave Hadfield - Independent 25th August 1996.

The Widnes 19 man squad for Friday night includes six of our previously used DR players.
In fact eight players who have played for us this season may turn out for the Salford v Widnes match - Craven, Flynn, Hulme, Kavanagh, Lawton, Leuluai from Widnes plus Adam & Jordan Walne from Salford. The only one missing is Gore. Good luck to all these lads.

That was fully my intention but reading this thread there is a suggestion we might not be taking this match too seriously so should I bother?

How can you not take it seriously. It's one off rugby now and you are playing a team you have already beaten once this season at the same ground. You must have some confidence.
