I for one hope he is reelected. He is a valuable member of political society...not least because he arouses so much irrational reaction amongst the chattering classes of the soft left on here,

That was Nick Clegg in May 2010, just before the last General Election. Talking about Gordon Brown and Labour then, of course.

 

He seems to have changed his tune now, on this as on so many things.

They all do it, and we are all weary of it, but Clegg and his party claimed to be something quite different in May 2010.

 

How hollow it all sounds now.

I was being sarcastic. Anyway, may it just shows that the leading Lib Dems are as politically " mature" as the rest of the bunch.  Realpolitik?
