WELCOME
to NRL Finals Week 1

Everyone is welcome whether you've entered before or not.
There's just four games to tip this weekend.
There's no Monday game.

FINALS WEEK 1 QUESTIONS:
*Poll Competition:
How many teams in Finals Week 1 will score 25 or more points??

...And now the main event of the week

*Match Tipping Competition
Name the 4 (that's FOUR) winning teams in NRL Finals Week 1 2013

*Points Competition
How many points will be scored by all the teams added together in Week 1 of the Finals?

This is a competition in itself and will act as a tie breaker for the match tipping comp if necessary. This is used as the decider when necessary so do give it a go.

There's no Home/Away win comp in the Finals Series

Fixtures:

NRLFInalsWk12013sm_zps7c55c182.jpg

Animated awards will be given for the winner(s) of each competition question. If you are new, see previous competition threads to get the idea of them.
Match tipping scores are added together.

See our Tipsters' Ladder pinned to the top of the forum topic list page.
New entrants are always welcome: entering the comp is a great way to get involved in every game of the NRL this season.

Good luck everyone
Enjoy your Rugby League!

Sorry about the Poll BR I've altered it as I realise I should have had 3 or 4 not 2 or 4 - I mistyped when I did it and hadn't spotted the error.

Just say which you want on here - 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 - I'm guessing from your stars above you will go for the  1 or 2 category.

Bunnies took the win in the first half and then held their own in the second half.

Storm showed a few glimpses of what they are capable of but couldn't lift sufficiently on the day.

Must be a bit galling for Storm and Victorian rugby league fans to be condescended to by Ray Warren kindly explaining the rules like an old well meaning uncle.

Of the big guns, probably only Billy was in decent form.

Hope Sisa is OK.

Our coverage at the end was continuous for about 5 minutes so we had wall to wall Bunnies celebrations and their Glory Glory tune - we Stormers didn't benefit from the Channel 9 break for adverts!

YES ! !

Victorian RL fans are quite conversant with the game,(especially the MANY of us who have followed it longer that Warren).

The NRL needs to drop this dino who actually makes sky's idiot Eddie look good.

No official word on Sisa as yet.So far - No broken neck - Feeling in fingers n toes - Doctors found no 'serious damage' ? but possible damaged disc.

Gobsmacked at reports that it was a legal tackle by Farrell ?

While Farrell was entitled to tackle Waqa in the air as his opponent was the attacking player, he was still put on report for placing Waqa in a dangerous position.

"It's a contact sport. That stuff happens," Farrell said.

The Sharks v Cowboys game shows that the difference between winning and losing can be infinitesimally small.

There was controversy and a last minute video ref call all wrapped up in this one.

One Sharks try was scored on the seventh tackle of a set.

The time keeping went awry at the end.

Within seconds the Cowboys fans were celebrating success and then it was the Sharks fan who erupted with glee when they saw that foot in touch before the ball was planted down.

Tipping? Whoever said it was easy wants leading away and being forced to eat Barney's well chewed hat!
