"Further consultation" can be interpreted to mean whatever you want it to.

We have the RLWC on the horizon and a set of SL chairmen are much more interested in promoting their own personal agendas than the game as a whole!

And turkeys don't vote for Christmas. Did you ever really think the RFL would have the collective bottle to make changes that would aversely affect those with vested interests. Won't happen ! :rtfm:

In the days before SL every team be it Swinton or St Helen's had a single vote. Is this no longer the case?

Just when it looked like things were looking up and the championship teams were getting a look in again, it has been kayboshed.

What a joke

Yes this is no longer the case. Non-SL clubs "volunteered" to change this when the SL was formed, we switched to summer RL and took the Murdoch money.

Actually, from a Championship perspective, i don't think things were actually looking up again.

What do you think the best outcome would be for teams below the SL then?

Creating bigger fan bases and higher attendances; getting greater media coverage; playing in winter (d'ohh!).

In terms of league structures I don't actually think this is the fundamental problem facing the lesser clubs, and certainly any change or even remaining the same won't solve anything.

Strange that despite all the extra money in SL, many clubs are still in financial crisis.

It shows that it is financial management that counts not the amount of money.

If it's Joe Bond, that would be a pretty exciting signing - very quick.

But not in the PNG squad!

:shout:

Plan B it is then.

That's fine - if he had been he would have been either going to Sheffield or a better heeled club - this way there is still hope. ;)
