Glad to hear the Hardcastle's are on their way. Was discussing Ben with JG a while ago and he said that he had definitly signed for Gateshead for 2014 - the little fibber !!
For those with short memories, Ryan MacDonald played very well for the NW Crusaders against us in last pre-season. He has an ability to rattle and attract players in allowing others to exploit gaps - nowt wrong with giving him a season ( and I'm no 'journeyman' fan !! ). And he's a real crowd pleaser... you wanted some atmosphere......

Pretty sure Ben Crane was down here for a short while this season trying to

earn a contract but nothing came of it

I was actually waiting for some official press releases, wouldn't want to make the mistake of putting someone who we haven't signed yet on there.

The chairman "twittered" the signing of the Hardcastle brothers and t'was in the press or are we waiting for Gav to give it his official seal of approval?

I'll be pretty busy with the World Cup for LoveRugbyLeague over the next 5 weeks but I'll put out what I can. Sometimes Mr Martini gets the scoop ahead of me anyway!

Just shows what I know:

North Wales Crusaders will have two beasts out on the field in 2014 after they re-signed prop Ryan MacDonald and secured the signature of David Mills.

Ryan McDonald will need to up his fitness by around 80% if he wants to be capable of any more than 5 minute spells on the pitch at Championship level. As for David Mills - a washed up, spent force. Will be on decent money too.

Agree with the above - Championship is a very good standard nowadays

Sounds like Jason Golden will be re-signing officially this week & JG keeping

an eye on the world cup to see if there are any players we can afford, but as

JG points out its also the accomodation etc to sort out which is a problem
