We only entered to have a crack at the big guns and I don't think it will make much difference which one we play, both are good sides and we would be hard pushed to dent either of their armour.

Milner and Browny where their two main men for me, we've lost a lot of experience over the last two season leaving us with a young side.

Was at Queens/Old Boys today and we were told that Browny is still contracted to Swinton and can't play , Milner has'nt played for over a year now , they've still got a few players out and it should make difference when they come back........................

as long as they arent back next week : ;)

We beat Chequerfield 42-18. Quite happy given unavailability of key players and no pre season games.

unavailability of key players has become the norm for us, we went to NEAB and got a real tanking, travelled with 16 players with the 17th coming straight from work (17th man phoned to say he was still at work because of a major breakdown, he is a engineer at Scunthorpe steel works) lost our full back in the warm up and then two more players mid-way through the fist-half, we controlled the first 10 minutes with ease before NEAB pounced on a harmless looking bomb, from then onwards we couldn't tackle and looked clueless going forward, their goal kicker was on top form and only missed one all afternoon, (46 - 0)

On a brighter note our seconds went away to Greetland and pulled of a 46 -6 victory
