What's fascinating is even 12 months ago there are names mentioned 99% of fans wouldn't have heard of.

I'd love to see older version of these threads just to see who else was destined for the international scene.

Someone dig them out for me *clap clap*.

If you use "should of", "would of" or "could of", you are a moron.

My 17, as things stand and presuming none retire through injury or by moving to RU, will be (with ages in brackets)

1 - S. Tomkins (28)

2 - Charnely (26)

3 - Watkins (26)

4 - Cudjoe (29)

5 - Lineham (25)

6 - Widdop (28)

7 - Chase (31)

8 - G. Burgess (25)

9 - Roby (31)

10 - Graham (32)

11 - Farrell (27)

12 - S. Burgess (28)

13 - Ward  (23)

14 - T. Burgess (25)

15 - Mossop (28)

16 - Walmsley (27)

17 - Lunt (30)

Which goes to show how young the team is going to be this year, and how much depth we have got coming through.  A lot of the ones mentioned in previous will still be younger than 25 by the time the 2017 WC comes around, with better and more experienced players still ahead of them.

After this WC we need to build a core 1,6,7,9 that will play in 2017.  For me that is Tomkins, Widdop, Chase and Roby - all a good age and experienced by the time 2017 comes around.

Is Smith British? Perhaps I should know the answer to that already.

I think that he's from Pontefract - don't quote me on that though.

From Wigan - Hampshire looks a superstar, I think Taylor will be fantastic, and I really rate Burke.

Yes he is, i think he is related to ex- Castleford half Tony Smith.

why not this team for 2013 RLWC ????

To many players in key positions that lack experience at domestic level, let alone international level

why not this team for 2013 RLWC ????

To many players lacking experience at domestic level let alone international level but it would be fascinating to see how they would perform.

Great to see other names being suggested which just goes to show the quality and quantiy of top class english players comming through. Also I'm not one of these doom and gloom merchants bemoaning the loss of quality English players going down under, the more the merrier in my opinion good for England RL and good for the next batch of youngsters comming through taking their places in the team.

Decent team apart from Hardaker at centre.Hardaker is terrible at centre.

He's still better than Cudjnoe, especially defensively.

Great, a thread for people to make up fantasy teams full of average young players from their clubs without realizing that the entirety of the current England squad will not have retired in four years time.

My England team for next WC:

Sam Tomkins
Tom Lineham
Ben Crooks
Kallum Watkins
Josh Charnley
Ryan Hampshire
Gareth Widdop
Alex Walmsley
Shaun Lunt
James Graham
John Bateman
Sam Burgess
Stevie Ward

Daryl Clark
Tom Burgess
George Burgess
Ben Currie

I think it's realistic enough IMO.
