Just out of interest is there another championship team that has had so many players stepping up to Super League as Batley have had over the passed couple of seasons?
For when the one great scorer comes to mark against your name he writes not if you won or lost but how you played the game.

Cheeky! Walton came down long ago, confidence shot, cast off, who's got him back on track? Johnson too wasn't ready for the commitment as his outside of the game behaviour showed. Who's given him his way back? Think the whole situation through pal before opening gob!

Are they the only ones you can think of?  What about Alex Brown?  Or that big kid, what weas he called............................something Walmsley?  Apparently a big thing in Super League!

Batley have had a few make the move up, but there are several other teams around the league who have had SL clubs trying to sign their players but not succeeding for one reason or another, notably Halifax, Leigh, Sheffield and Featherstone.

Do you think it is the bracing local air, sweet young maidens and healthy eating that has made all of the difference?

Luke Menzies? I always felt that Luke made the step up a little too soon. His confidence took a seemingly massive knock when he was released by Rovers, and he's never really had a decent run at first team level until this season at Hunslet.

Luke was a victim of the Stupid RFL'S licensing system which meant all clubs had to draw in a set amout of players from outside their own academy systems, if youre 100% honest he was never going to make it in Super League, he was just too small, the very limited chances he got at Hull KR proved it, he got battered and the only thing this did was to absolutly destroy the confidence of a very good player.
