Terrific story about a guy called Scott Boswell who took 4-44 in a semifinal for Leicestershire and then basically forgot how to bowl in the final at Lords and ended up losing his job.

He seems to have rebuilt his life now after a tough time.

A great read, and good luck to the man.

That's me.  I'm done.

Crazy story. Although Im a cricket fan I don't remember this story first time around.

What struck me was just how important support and help from your friends, team-mates and clubs is (or should be) in this type of case. Leicestershire CCC look like they failed this lad quite badly. Ironic too that the batsman should be Trescothick.

The psychological well-being of players is something RL clubs have been looking at in the wake of Terry Newton.

I'll have a read of this later.  I've always felt very sorry for Boswell because, on a lazy day 'back in the day' when I had literally nothing to do I went along to watch Northants II play and he was there bowling like a demon.  I even met his parents who were there to watch and were so proud of him.  Then he sort of vanished off my radar only to reappear with *that* performance.

Cheer up, RL is actually rather good
