Is this Catalan lad the next new kid on the block to pop his head above the parapet.Last time saw him was two years ago playing in the Juniors Final against Lezignan. The two stand outs that day were the two opposite centres Miloudi and Damien Cardace for the FCL. Both have played for France at Cadets and Academy levels. A year later Cardace scored four tries against Widnes in SL and earned the no5 shirt in the Dragons squad for 2013. Unfortunately he didn't feature in any game and his career seems to be on hold.

Both these lads signed long term contracts I understand at Brutus but while Cardace made the Dragons squad Miloudi was loaned out to Elite 2 club Palau last season. Apparently Trent Robinson and the club management weren't satisfied with his attitude.

The teenager was scoring tries for fun at that level as his side claimed the Elite 2 title. Was pleased to hear that he's back at St Esteve and gunning for a place in next years Dragons squad. He's a well built athletic bloke with a feel for the game.He is included in the 40 man French WC squad but may be a bit early for him to make Tuesdays cut.

Last night both Miloudi at full back and Cardace on the wing where in the same St Esteve side playing against Carcassonne in the Elite opener and both registered tries in their 26-23 win. Was impressed with Milhoudi. In every carry he was asking questions of the opponents.

Heard and read lots of good things about this kid playing against England, Wales and Australia at u18 and u19 level, with him fages and Catalan fullback(can't remember his name) France are now starting to produce a small trickle of good young players. Another player talk about with some potential was a loose forward called karim madani, any news on him and doesn't hakim miloudi have a younger brother who plays scrum half?

Yeah Amine Miloudi is in the St Esteve Elite 1 set up this season too. Madini played with him in the Juniors last year but doesn't appear to have moved up. The lad who shone last year at that level was Perez a back rower and he's also now in the Elite 1 group.

Looking at the young St Esteve team as a whole Saturday I was impressed with their athleticism and fitness. The shape of these young blokes to me has changed dramically since the Dragons project arrived in 2006. Just having the likes of Waite, Menzies, Potter, Robinson, Jones, Ryles, Bird and Johnson around the place has created a new culture. Its taken eight years.

Escare's the kind of poster boy for the others to follow; Springer, Garcia and Margelet also showing promise.

Good to hear all of these young French names being touted as good prospects, in your opinion would young players like madani benefit from being in a full time environment at a super league club rather than playing at lower levels in France and going stale in terms of development, drive and motivation? As I read that Warrington have a young French stand off(Louis joufrett) starring in their u19's side, it seems to me that these talented young French players don't have the same pathways as their English counterparts hence the lack of progression.

"a full time environment at a super league club"

I'm hoping that Toulouse Olympique will provide that!

See on their web site their President talks of a need of a television rights deal being the key. He says they'll know something definate in a few weeks.

Me too, as another French super league side offers the chance of more young french players to stay in the code and compete at the highest level and not forgetting introducing the sport to more youngsters in and around the Toulouse area. The TV deal would be bein sport The affiliate of aljazeera, right?

Where is the TO in the Super League project?

Bernard Sarrazain: Conversations are ongoing with our English friends. Our discussions are currently focused on the TV rights. It should be fixed on the subject a couple of weeks. The plan for the renovation of the stadium ahead as well. We have regular meetings with the architects in charge of this project, we go slowly into the details of the facilities. Again, pre-project, we will be communicated shortly.
