An interesting evening out for RL fans

The proposals for the new league structure are to be put before an EGM of the RL Council on Weds 9 October. As a special sneak preview Blake Solly , Director of Standards and Licencing at the RFL will run through the two possible proposals and answer any questions in relation to them. The event will be held at Carlton Cricket Club. Entry is free and the bar will be open. The event is on Monday 7 October, 7pm for a 7.30 start, is open to all and should be a very informative evening and will give local RL fans the opportunity to ask Blake Solly any questions abut the future of RL

Carlton is within very easy reach for Leeds, Hunslet, Cas, Fev, Wakey, Batley and Dewsbury fans. Plus all the amateur players in this heartland area.

I can't get there but can somebody ask him how you win $uperleague 2 ?

Do you win it by winning the league of 12 or the middle tier of 8 ?

And if you win the third tier of eight, what have you won, if anything ?

I follow all the rhetoric about splitting leagues into three eights but nobody's made it really clear what you're actually playing for.

Well thats another question, how would any TV contracts work?

If Sky have SL and Premier Sports have Championships, when the second league after the split has half SL and half Champ clubs who has rights?

Good point  - when do the existing contracts run out ?

Sky contract is to run until the end of 2016, they also have Selcted ties in the challange cup up until the quarter finals up until the end of 2016.

BBC have the rights for 7 live ties inclusing both semi's and the final of the Challenge cup up to the end of 2016.

Premier Sports have Championship 1 and Championship until the end of 2013, so thats finished and no contract for Championship 1 or championship yet in place for next year.

Premier sports have all 28 Live matches of the world cup.

BBC have selected matches of the workd cup.

Premier sports have the rights for Every match from every round LIVE in the NRL until the end of 2017, All 3 Origin matches live until the end of 2017 and australia Vs New zealand ( april ) until the end of 2017.
