Can tickets for the upcoming World Cup matches be bought on the day at the turnstile?

Several people who haven't yet bought tickets are asking me this question.

I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimension, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave Hadfield - Independent 25th August 1996.

There will be an RFL ticket box down Keith. There will be no cash on the turnstiles

There are no grandstand tickets left for either game. In fact I purchased 4 of the last 5 remaining tickets for the Sunday game.

Seen estimates of 5k sold already.

Interesting to see some of the bitter and twisted down the road are letting their hatred against Town get in the way of a great event for Rugby League in Cumbria.

I did to . Taking my young nephew , he can't wait , keeps seeing guys on the telly and can't believe he's gonna see them . Just becoming apparent how big it was getting these games . And the support is looking phenomenal .

And a totally justified decision to take the games to Derwent Park.
The Pow Beck stadium wouldn't have coped with the demand :-)

I wish the take-up was even better, so that a temporary grandstand option could have been looked at for the open end a month or so ago....prob too late to organise now.
