The fact that the 2017 RLWC will be co-hosted between Australia and New Zealand should go a significant way to ensuring solid crowd growth for the tournament.

Provided Australia and NZ stay in separate groups (and assuming the format is similar to that of 2013), this should mean a minimum of 6 group games of 20K+. With PNG now granted entry into the Queensland Cup, there might actually be an opportunity for 1 or 2 of their games to be hosted at home as well, which will deliver at least some sell outs prior to any of the other games needing to go on sale.

Hopefully one of the learnings the 2017 organisers will take out of the 2013 event is, small games should have cheap tickets (I remember paying $35 to watch Ireland v Tonga at Parramatta Stadium), and kick off times need to be realistic (I remember the same game kicking off at 5:45pm... a bit hard to get from the city to Parramatta in 45 minutes...)

Heading into the warmer months in Australia, kick off times like 7:45pm, 8pm work quite well and should go a long way to helping grow attendance... another Kiwis RLWC victory would also help attract more attention for the tournament as well...

Gerard? He's in everything these days. Did he kill Celine Deon, I hope so.

We've got 9 tickets left. One of our members and his family can no longer go to the game.

£35 each. £12 of each goes to club funds.

I was really surprised by my 2013 experience of Wembley as it was nothing like my 2011 experience, although sitting in Club Wembley area may have had something to do with that I don't know.

Trust me, my Wembley RL experience was superb compared to that at England football matches where you're treated as a leper by the staff/authorities/police. I actually felt welcomed by everyone!

Interestingly, I've been for club games and it was different again...

Isn't Lloyd Robson Oval in Port Moresby being rebuilt at the moment? if so, it would be a good place to hold all of PNG's home games ...

Ticket site  has hospitality at 79 pounds only and single tickets?-very confusing over the last few days!

I would guess at this late stage the are breaking down hosp packages and selling them as premium seats. Hence the odd format.

I suspect these are seats also giving access to the 'hospitality' rooms where Joey (Andrew Johns) and Brad Fittler are mingling with the fans ...

Sections NW3428, which I think is the area they were selling ticket + bar packages. I think Scubby is right that they're just releasing those seats as match ticket only now.

Yes, for the South Pacific Games. IIRC something like 20,000 capacity.

How much would these tickets be going for if things had worked out differently last week?
